June 2022: RISIG is now accepting abstracts for the third International Rock Imaging Summit (iRIS-2022) which will be a hybrid event with the physical meeting in Trondheim, Norway. The closing data is 31 August 2022.

May 2022: CySSIG held a Middle East Energy Industry Cyber Security Webinar: Revisiting Cyber Resilience in the shadow of PIPEDREAM" with speakers from aDolus, Hima Middle East, 3W Networks and Verve Industrial.

March 2022: CySSIG held a Middle East Energy Industry Cyber Security Webinar: "Optimising Cyber Resilience in the Energy Sector" with speakers from aDolus, Hima Middle East, 3W Networks and Verve Industrial.

February 2022: RISIG held a webinar entitled "Accessing the Value in Cuttings" with speakers from Earth Science Analytics, Rockwash Geodata, Elemission and Schlumberger. The webinar was moderated by Jenny Omma of Rocktype.

January 2022: Ross Davidson of EXPROBIZ announced the setting up of the Cyber Security Special Interest Group (CySSIG) to address the growing challenges of securing IT and OT systems from cyber attacks. CySSIG will focus initially on the Middle East energy industry and plans a webinar in the Spring.

November 2021: EXPROBIZ announces the successful conclusion of the second International Rock Imaging Summit (iRIS-2021), held as a virtual event. The summit was sponsored by Thermo Fisher Scientific, Geotek, Earth Science Analytics, Zeiss, Rocktype, Core Specialist Services, Rockwash Geodata and Hyspex.

September 2021: RISIG held a webinar entitled "Machine Learning for Rock Typing" with speakers from Earth Science Analytics, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Datarock and React'IV.

June 2021: RISIG held a webinar entitled "Applications of Hyperspectral Imaging in Oil and Gas" with speakers from Huntington Hyperspectral, Spectra-Map, Corescan and Hyspex.

April 2021: RISIG held a webinar entitled "The Challenges and Rewards of Image-Based Cuttings Analysis" with speakers from the Norwegian Oil & Gas Association Digital Drilling Cuttings Project, Earth Science Analytics, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Spectra-Map and Rocktype.

January 2021: Ross Davidson of EXPROBIZ announced the setting up of the Rock Imaging Special Interest Group (RISIG) to meet the calls from iRIS-2020 delegates who were keen for more activity to support those interested in rock imaging.

November 2020: EXPROBIZ announces the successful conclusion of the inaugural International Rock Imaging Summit (iRIS-2020) which was held as a virtual event due to Covid-19 restrictions on travel. The event was sponsored by Thermo Fisher Scientific (Gold), Core Laboratories (Silver), Bruker (Bronze), Tescan (Bronze), Geotek (Bronze), Zeiss (Proceedings), Enersoft (Registration), Core Specialist Services, Imago, Vidence, Reservoir Rock Technologies and Enthought.

January 2019: EXPROBIZ announces that they will organise a summit on Rock Imaging, provisionally planned to be held in Bahrain in November 2020.

June 2019: Ross Davidson of Digital Core Systems will attend the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) Annual Meeting in London. He will be at booth 222 - Geotek and Spectra-Map - on Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 June.

April 2019: Ross Davidson of Digital Core Systems attended the Middle East Oil Show in Bahrain. This will be the tenth MEOS that Ross has attended.

October 2018: Ross Davidson of Digital Core Systems acted as scribe for a two-day Digital Rock workshop hosted by a major GCC national oil company. The event was attended by industry and academia for an in-depth review of the state of commercial and research digital rock technology.

April 2018: EXPROBIZ announces the establishment of Digital Core Systems. See Digital Core Systems website for details. EXPROBIZ will use the Digital Core Systems trading name for all its work related to solutions for extracting the maximum amount of information from all core material - whole core, plugs and cuttings.

April 2018: EXPROBIZ announces that it has signed an agreement with Geotek Ltd, a UK company manufacturing core loggers and X-ray systems, to represent them in the Middle East. For more information on Geotek see their website
